No days off for Costa Rican keeper overcoming injury
My article for MARCA
Real Madrid's Keylor Navas is not resting up even on his holidays as he continues working towards his goal of being fit for Los Blancos' European Super Cup date with Sevilla next month.
One month on from his operation, Navas has been working morning, noon and night but both he and the club know that it's a big ask for him to reach that date at full capacity.
Real are scheduled to begin their pre-season on Friday July 15th, but Navas will be back at Valdebebas three days before it officially gets underway.
His effort can't be faulted but the most likely outcome remains that Kiko Casilla will assume the position between the posts with the Costa Rican unlikely to be 100% fit and Zidane not wanting to take any unnecessary risks.
