Barcelona's long-time target Marquinhos has had a serious falling out with his club Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazilian central defender wants to represent his nation in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics as they look to claim the only international title that's eluded them until now.

Marquinhos, who is on honeymoon in Tanzania and until now has been behind both David Luiz and Thiago Silva in the pecking order for the French side, is understood to be furious at the club's refusal to allow him compete in the competition.

The player's brother, Luan, has spoken on his behalf.

"We need to knock some sense into PSG, Marquinhos wants to play at the Olympics and we need to resolve this."His dedication to the club has never been in question, we both love the club but they have to show him some consideration here.

"If they can't meet us halfway here, we'll have to seriously think about him leaving."
